#344909 Staging Kings!

Posted by Chrome Bullets on 03 September 2019 - 11:20 PM

They are not there to eat. They are staging. Mostly just trying to piss em off to get them to swipe at it.

This is only what I didn't catch. I got a ton this day.

#336548 YouTube Dislikes

There will always be trolls and haters. People will hate for different reasons. Some feel that many shouldn't be fishing for salmon in shallow water. You can see them.... you throw a bobber in front..... eventually they get snagged. Some people have a bad day. Some are just flat out jealous that you catch fish and they can't. Some simply don't like the fact you are video taping "THEIR" favorite spot or feel they own the area.

I got tons of vids up on youtube. For every 10 to 20 likes you will get a dislike. Some vids get tons of likes then just because there are no dislikes, some little keyboard warrior will dislike just because...

The good thing now is that you can delete negative comments from your videos where you couldn't before. Helps keep the bad joojoo from your page.

#333960 Salmon in the river already......

Posted by Chrome Bullets on 19 June 2016 - 08:36 AM

I was kayak trolling out on big lake Ontario yesterday. I went 0 for 5 in deep water. I could hook them but loose them within 50ft of my yak. I decided it wasn't my day and I was calling it quits.

Feeling sorry for myself, I limped my way back into the river towards the boat launch. I always drop crank baits once I hit 30 FOW and into the river... Trolling along the wall I get a massive strike. I turn back to have a look and there she was in the air... My first Atlantic salmon.

My first thought was wow... is she ever lost being this far in already. I get her up to the yak and scoop her into the net. As I lift her up she starts dropping eggs.

I fish salmon and steelies like it's my job for years and this is the first time I've seen them in the river in June with loose eggs.

#332727 Skunked on Opener? Vent here...

Posted by Chrome Bullets on 25 April 2016 - 10:55 AM

I fished an east trib Saturday. Started at an easyily accessible spot.... so many people around d and was very hard to find a spot. I drove 3 hrs for this? No not happening.

I jumped in my car and went for a long drive up river. Found a side road leading to the river, parked, jump out and started walking though bush and crap for another 2 hours until I stopped seeing people... around the next bend I could hear splashing so I figured someone was landing a fish. Nope found a pool with I swear about 100 fish. Ive never seen that many in one spot before it was awesome. I ended up landing 20 then ran out of hooks and tippet line due to getting broke off and wrapped in logs from fish after fish.

Sunday headed to a west trib. Water was super low and super clear. Made it kinda easy cause I know where they were not sitting. Walked another 2 hours and only seen 3 guys which was good. Ended up with 4 more by the end of the day. There were sitting in the slightly deeper water where I couldn't quite see bottom.

I attached a few pics....there were so many and don't want to spam the page with pics.

#332572 Steelhead and Salmon everywhere

Posted by Chrome Bullets on 20 April 2016 - 12:36 PM

With the lack of rain lately I wasn't sure how fishing would be. Turns out its been really productive on both coasts in clear or dirty water. Fish are concentrated in certain areas willing to hit all types of baits. Been float fishing and kayak fishing in the past two weeks with good success. So many more vids to edit with no time lol
