I was looking at these fish finder and they look pretty good. I am looking for something small I can take ice fishing and also I am looking at getting into kayak fishing this spring and it looks as if it would also do well. I was just wondering if anyone has had any good or bad experience with these fish finders. Thank you and tight lines

How many hooks can you have

While I was fishing at a local river I came across a fellow fisherman that was running a double hook double bead set up. I'm just wondering if that is allowed. Are you allowed to have 2 hooks on one line while river fishing?

How to properly handle a catfish?

So from what I been told over the years if you get pricked by the barbs on a catfish you will have some discomfort for a day or two. My question is what is the proper way to handle a catfish so I don't get hurt or hurt the fish in the process?

Fishing the backyard

So today I had some time between watching the jays and dinner so I went to the local creek/river that runs
By my backyard. There was a lot of action braking the water but looked like smaller brown cats with a few really large ones. I fished for about 2 hours and here is the outcome

6 brown catfish ranging in size but nothing bigger then 11 inches
12 or so bass ( rock bass and largemouth)
4 sunfish ( pumpkinseed and green sunfish)

Hi guys.

I was wondering if anyone knows what species of sunfish are within the GTA. I have managed to find these so far.

Green sunfish

Pumpkinseed

Bluegill

Just wondering because after seeing a few members collecting/cataloging the different fish species I kinda wanted to as well.
