One minute of silence...

09 September 2016 - 08:45 PM

For the Big O i lost at a local pond this past week. Just flew off my line on a cast. Heard it unravel. Thinking it was a bad clinch job on my part.

Caught me my first Bass that one. Never forget your first!

On the bright side i get to buy some Bandits!! Fish on!

Heading up to Stony Lake

This weekend. Super stoked! Hoping to land my first Bass. Have access to a Jon boat, canoe and kayak. Should be interesting! Will report back...

Spotted a Longnose Gar

25 August 2016 - 01:28 PM

At Humber Bay East yesterday!! That was a trip.

Landed a Perch in front of a mom and two small children, so that made my day. Seen a lot of tiny baitfish schooling and small Bluegills in the ponds.

Got my Meeps Aglia #1 (gold) snagged lakeside, freed it, then managed to completely destroy it by throwing it into the metal boardwalk fence. IDK. Found the thump of the blade really stirred up the fish that were in there. Getting them to bite though was another story.

Good day!!

Tight lines.

Introducing myself

25 August 2016 - 12:13 PM

Hi all, new to the forum...

Been reading for the past couple months in my research of places to fish close to where i live; awesome content! Keep it coming.

Looking forward to reading and contributing more as i get more experienced. Always been interested in fishing, just never really started until this summer at a cottage on a Kawartha lake; totally exhilarating.

Got me a 6.5' medium action Ugly Stik GX2 spinning combo with 8lb test. Trying to arm myself with enough tackle to handle the various conditions/situations out there. Sticking to the smaller game for now until i get my confidence up to got after bigger guys.

So far i've landed a whole whack of Perch and one Bluegill (coulda been a Green Sunfish, the blue-green blotches were super vibrant). Whoohoo!

Tight lines!
