Did you find the hot weather affect your fishing and the quality of meat this year?

Went to my spot this weekend and the chinooks were hardly in. The pinks had been in for a couple of weeks now and are not moving further upstream. Got one but the meat didn't look good. Or I might be too late, but I doubt it

Fish time I saw a splake, I thought it was a brookie. Hard to tell

I dont believe it gets a run of fish, the north channel section doesnt tend to have optimal spawning/stocking (Other the the rapids). We always considered it pretty dead when it came to anadromous species. 

 

I do know of the walleye/pike/muskie and oddly sturgeon that swim in the serpent, there are rumors of brookies as well but I have never seen them.

I will . especially it's the fall and who knows maybe the kings will be swimming up the river into the trib. it is off serpent river actually.

Anyone has tried fishing there?
